Sunday night was final time. Denmark and Austria faced off in Gigantium in Aalborg in a match that would decide who was to be promoted to the top division. Denmark only needed one point to clinch the title, while Austria was forced to win in regulation.
The first few minutes of the final were nervous while the teams got comfortable on the ice. But then they started to play quick, offensive hockey, giving both teams opportunities to get ahead on the scoreboard.
